It’s been about two months since I started at Vistar Media, and the experience has been great. What I’ve been most struck by is the level of demand and advertising revenue that Vistar Media is bringing into the DOOH ecosystem. I’ve been in this industry for a number of years, and I know first-hand how difficult it is to launch a network and sell-through large advertising campaigns. The Vistar team is successfully trafficking millions of dollars of digital buys to digital place-based networks, small and medium-sized media owners, as well as, large OOH operators across the country. I’m proud to be part of a team that is elevating the entire DOOH industry.
Having joined Vistar Media’s Publisher Solutions team, I’m on the front of lines of working with media owners to maximize their success on the Vistar platform. This includes bringing media owners onto our exchange, evangelizing the widespread benefits of using the Vistar ad server for direct sold campaigns, and transacting programmatically with digital buyers.
I couldn’t imagine being in a better position than sharing real ad dollars with digital place-based network operators. Even though it may not be clear to the DOOH industry-at-large, but my colleagues at Vistar Media have successfully created a Google AdSense equivalent for DOOH. The amazing part is that it’s only getting larger, thanks to growing relationships with digital agencies, trading desks, DSPs, and data partners.
I realize that I’m now incredibly biased, but, as someone who has always strived to elevate DOOH to the position it deserves in the media landscape, I hope that you see that I wouldn’t be as excited as I am if it weren’t the truth. Vistar is adding sizable incremental revenue to our partners’ bottom lines. We’re also making our ad serving, audience targeting, and measurement capabilities available to DOOH networks’ direct sales effort.
Not only are we trafficking demand from digital buyers, but we’re giving our partners the necessary tools to do it on their own. That to me is one of the best parts of my job. The fact that we’re creating a rising tide that lifts all ships will have a lasting impact on the DOOH industry. That’s what initially attracted me to the opportunity at Vistar Media, and what drives me each and every day.
